There are many flash based .mp3 players, but for one particular project I needed one that would play consistently as the user browses a website so the playback would not be interrupted. The concept of the build was essentially to load music data and imagery from an .xml file and play accordingly. In addition when the user navigates through the site, the state of play needs to be locked as .html pages are loaded and unloaded.. the problem is that if there is a delay in page loading, then there is a delay in the playback.. not so much the case when the pages are cached on a full broadband internet connection. As much as I don’t like the functionality of how this player plays as there are some issues with Flash’s Shared Object that I have integrated. As the project moves along I will post the files with further explanation.. at this point I am still fishing out there for someone who has put together a nice flash .mp3 player that communicates over .html files.
